
19 January 1904: ‘On Wednesday the annual entertainment given by Mrs Gould, of Abbey House, Sheet Street, to the members of the Windsor Borough Police Force, took place at the Police Station. Dinner was served at two o’clock and tea at six, beside which a firest-class entertainment was provided by the many ladies and gentlemen who kindly assist Mrs Gould in her laudable effort. Amongst those present was the Vicar of Windsor. Prizes for variousa competitions amongst the members of the Force were awarded. Four members of the Clewer Police were also present, thus shewing the good feeling that prevails between the two forces. Refreshments were supplied by Mr Dowsett of Windsor.’
