18 August 1880: Bishop’s Lydeard petty sessions, Monday, before Messrs R. C. A. Prior, G. A. Tilney and C. E. J. Esdaile: ‘William Perry, gardener, and Frederick Perry, coachman, both of Bradford, were summoned to show cause who an order should not be made upon them to contribute to the maintenance of William Perry, their father, who is an old person not able to work. Orders were made, William Perry to pay 2s 6d per week, and Frederick Perry 1s per week.
