31 July 1914: A memorial was unveiled at Truro Cathedral in memory of the late Mr Edmund Carlyon of Polkyth, born 6 February 1819, died 28 July 1911. The congregation included Colonel Carlyon (St Mawes), Messrs Albert Carlyon (St Columb), H. B. Carlyon (Falmouth), E. L. Carlyon (Truro), Mrs Nicholl and Mrs Young (relatives)
