Painswick [centre-right, pink] surrounded by (clockwise from the north) Upton St Leonard [green], Prinknash Park [pink], Cranham [yellow], Miserden [blue], Bisley with Lipyatt [yellow], Uplands [orange], Stroud [blue], Whiteshill [yellow], Pitchcombe [blue], Harescombe [orange] and Brookthorpe [yellow]. These were all separate ancient ecclesiastical parishes, except for Prinknash Park (extra-parochial), Uplands (part of Stroud) and Whiteshill (formed from parts of Standish and Stroud).
