Margret tells me you were able to be with him the evening prior to his passing. Knowing how concerned you were that you might not see him in time, I was glad that you had that time with him – and I’m sure he was too. Dear Pam, you were so kind when my Mum went, you know I am now thinking of you and knowing your thought for others, I’m sure Margaret Durrant will be a grateful recipient of your very special brand of compassion and support. As we both know, Geoff is in a lovely place now and out of pain – it’s the ones left behind who need the back-up. I shall always retain pleasant memories of Geoff Durrant who was truly one of nature’s gentlemen. You must have some very special memories to sustain you through this sad time.
