Court in the Sheriff Court House on Wednesday. They were introduced by Mr D. Littlejohn, solicitor, clerk to the Justices for the district. The only case before them was one by H.M. Customs and Excise for failure to hold a dog licence. The complaint was against Mrs Davina Cargill or McPhail, whose address was given as 26 East Mill Wynd. Mr R. D. Macdonald, H. M. She had not made use of an opportunity since given her of obtaining a licence. Mrs McPhail pleaded guilty by letter. A fine of 15s was imposed.
