Matlock [left, orange] surrounded by (clockwise from the top) Ashover [yellow], Tansley [blue], Dethick, Lea & Holloway [pink], Cromford [green], Matlock Bath [yellow], Bonsall [blue], Wensley & Snitterton [green] and Darley [pink]. Matlock, Ashover, Bonsall and Darley were all separate ancient ecclesiastical parishes: but Tansley was in Crich, Dethick, Lea & Holloway in Ashover, Cromford in Wirksworth, Matlock Bath in Matlock, and Wensley & Snitterton in Darley.
