Gestingthorpe [centre, green] surrounded by (from the north, clockwise) Northwood [yellow], Belchamp Walter [pink], Bulmer [blue], Wickham St Paul’s [yellow], Pebmarsh [pink], Little Maplestead [orange], Great Maplestead [yellow], Castle Hedingham [pink] and Little Yeldham [blue]: all of which were separate ancient ecclesiastical parishes, except for Northwood (or North Wood), extra-parochial or part of Belchamp Walter.
