21 September 1947: Postcard to Miss Lorna Downie, at Owthorne Walk, Withernsea, then redirected to Hull High School, Trinity Croft near Anlaby, Yorkshire: ‘Dearest Lorna  –  Thank you so much for yours from Skye: am so glad you are all enjoying your holiday  –  I haven’t your addess here but think you’ll be home now  –  We, Elsie, Miss Layne & self are having a delightful time  –  what marvellous weather!  We have had most enjoyable drives, this home of my neices has Oliver’s Mount in foreground, we drove to the top the other day  –  What a View of the two bays! have just written James, who is I suppose in Keswick, am sending it to Mr. N. S. in Hove to be forwarded  –  Expect you’ll be at School in a day or two  –  Cheerio, Love from Grannie Hunter [?]’
