17 May 1938: Claude Wyatt, aged 35, and George Keyte, aged 37, both of no fixed abode, were charged at Nottingham Guildhall yesterday with burglariously breaking into a shop, 52 Wollaton Street, and stealing property worth £17 18s, belonging to George Griffin, on the night of 8 May. Mr R. de Z. Hall prosecuted. Charles William Anker of 75 Manton Crescent, Lenton Abbey Estate, and Claude Clinch of 199 Norton Street and his mother, passers-by, saw the break-in. The burglars walked away down Wollaton Street and were caught in an entry off Talbot Street.
